Terms and Conditions

1, Booking

a) A non refundable booking fee of £50.00 is required at the time of booking to secure a date which will be deducted from the final balance.
b) Enquiries for which a booking fee has not been paid are not confirmed and therefore availability cannot be guaranteed.
c) For booking fee payments by bank transfer the booking is only confirmed once it has cleared in our bank account.
d) Trial bookings are only available between Tuesdays to Fridays during 10:00am to 4:00pm as weekends are kept free for weddings.

2, Travel Expenses

a) Up to 10 miles from RG31 area are free. For locations between 10-15 miles from RG31 will occur an extra charge of £5, between 15-25 miles will be charged at £15 and between 25-35 miles will be charged at £25. Also any tolls or parking charges either in hotels, carparks, parking meters or public transport will be added. This applies to the trial as well.
b) For a service that is booked to start prior to 7am and is over 50 miles from RG31 accommodation expenses will be incurred, this will be discussed and agreed during the booking process.
c) For all bookings outside of the UK travel/flight/accommodation charge will be incurred, also to be discussed and agreed during the booking process.

3, Payment

a) A non refundable booking fee of £50 can be paid by bank transfer.
b) Full payment of the final balance can be paid by bank transfer 8 weeks prior to an event. If a client wishes to pay in cash on the day of an event, this must be arranged and agreed beforehand.

4, Cancellation / Changes

a) As soon as you decide that you no longer require our services, cancellation fee is applicable. If an event is within 8 weeks 50% of the final balance is payable, if an event is within 4 weeks the full final balance is payable.
b) Cancellations are only valid by e-mail, verbal/text message cancellations are not accepted as they are not deemed valid by us.
c) If the number within the bridal party who require our services decreases less than 4 weeks prior to the event, the final balance remains the same.
d) Any discounts or offers will only apply at the time of booking and will no longer be valid if any changes occur after and it will be calculated at full current price.

5, Additional charges

a) False lashes are NOT included in the price therefore extra charge of £10 per person will be added.
b) If you choose to provide own false eyelashes, there is a £5 per person application fee.
c) Large bridal parties may require the services of an extra hair/makeup artist with an extra fee of £50 per artist and this will be discussed and agreed during the booking process.
d) At the trial, we will discuss with you a time to arrive and a time to leave on the wedding day. Inevitably proceedings often run late and an allowance will be built into the agreed timings. Should I be required to run over those timings due to lateness of you or any of your bridal party nor any other factor of my making, then a payment of £10 per half hour will be payable.
e) Sunday/Bank Holiday/New year’s eve weddings will incur a surcharge of £100.

6, Miscellaneous

a) It is your responsibility to inform us of any sensitivities, allergies or contact lenses you may have.
b) We can not be held liable for any condition that arises or loss incurred by you or any of your bridal party if we are not previously informed of any known conditions as stated above, or of any conditions unknown to you or any of your bridal party at the time of the services.
c) We reserve the right to cancel the booking if you or any of your bridal party behaviour is deemed inappropriate and/or if you report a condition that we deem as a risk to your health and wellbeing. In these cases any payments that have already been made by you for the services are non refundable.
d) We are not responsible for any cancellations beyond our control such as fire, flood, sever weather, epidemic and pandemic and no compensation will be offered by us. The client is strongly advised to take out wedding insurance to cover against such situations.
e) The client agrees that we may use any photography for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to our website and social media pages.
f) Due to Health and Hygiene guidelines, clients are at no time permitted to borrow or touch the hair and makeup artists’ kit. If any loss or damage is made to the kit/equipment of myself or any of my assistants, it is the bride’s responsibility to replace that item.
g) Due to issues of Health and Safety, it is respectfully asked that children and pets are supervised at all times. children and pets must be supervised by someone who is not having their hair or makeup done at the time (exception made if babies require breast feeding). If at all possible, it is requested that the room where the hair styling and makeup application are taking place be kept children/pet free due to hot styling tools and the expensive products we use. If a child or a pet is harmed at any time by any of our products or tools as they are not supervised, Mako Smith or any member of my assistants can not be held responsible.
